A big hello to all students and parents of Brilliant light School. We hope that you’ve all had a fantastic winter vacation, enjoying your family time and staying safe!

大家好，大家一定和家人们共度了一个美好而充实的假期！

I’m sure that all students (and parents) are extremely excited about returning to school and we would like to make sure that everyone is ready returning.

想必学生们都迫不及待想要回到学校，那你们做好准备了吗？

校服Uniform

Please carefully check all the uniform elements for your child. Have they outgrown any clothes, do you need to order more? PE, House and daily school uniform should all be checked and washed.

请家长协助学生整理校服。校服是否合身，是否需要预定更大尺码？体育课，院舍活动，日常校服是否清洗干净并整理好？

学校用品Stationeries

Have a quick look in your child’s pencil case, is everything there? Are there any stationeries that they need?

请家长查看一下孩子的铅笔盒等学校用品，是否还有需要购买添置的物品？

调整作息时间Adjust sleep pattern and rest time

During the holidays children will adopt a slightly different sleep schedule and rest pattern. We would like to encourage all parents to start adjusting the sleep and wake times back to the usual school times.

假期期间学生作息可能会有所不同，请家长鼓励孩子在开学前调整作息，以帮助学生顺利过渡到新学期。

电子设备Electronic devices

With the exception of school authorised APP’s, please start to restrict Children’s access to electronic devices. Strictly monitor online games usage and ensure that Children are ready for the upcoming semester start. Encourage children to be more active and to play sports outside whenever possible.

请家长减少孩子使用电子设备的时间，限制孩子玩电子游戏的时间，确保孩子做好了迎接新学期的准备。鼓励孩子多做些户外运动，保障良好的身心状态。

家庭沟通Parent – Child communication

Please take 10minutes to sit down with your child and talk to them about the upcoming term. Ask them about last term and any problems they had and which subjects they struggled with. Ask your child about what they want to achieve next term and what objectives they have, encourage them to set targets in school work. We would like all parents (where possible) to show an interest in their child’s studies, we realise you are all busy, but it’s important for every child to know that their parents are checking their study progress. Please communicate any issues to your classmaster in a timely fashion.

请家长和孩子约定时间，一起坐下来聊一聊。一起回顾上个学期，孩子是否遇到什么问题，哪个科目学起来有压力。新学期将要学习哪些科目，有什么想要完成的目标？希望每位家长可以关心孩子的学习进度，有需要帮助可随时联系班主任沟通。

Due to Epidemic prevention guidelines, Home visits have been tentatively rescheduled to April.

由于疫情管控条例，家访时间暂时改到4月。若有信息更新我们会及时告知。
