绿树浓荫夏日长，夏至已至，本学期也悄然来到了尾声。

It’s a great time of year, the weather is getting better, the term is drawing to a close and the students are about to enter the exam preparation stage.

周末，你怎么过？这个学期，金铭钥学生的周末不同寻常。本学期我校各年级由班主任带领组织了丰富多彩的周末活动，每个学生也都可邀请校外朋友一起参与。好友作伴，在忙碌的学习之余，一起享受愉快的周末生活！

It is with this in mind that leaders encouraged all the classmasters to organise a weekend trip for the students and their friends. At the instruction of Headmaster Zhang, all the students were all allowed to invite a friend, free of charge, because we want people to share in the happiness.

伴随着暖暖的阳光，初中的学生们乘坐校车出发啦！一到河边，学生们就欢快地跑起来，他们雀跃着把零食、毯子和帐篷拿到野餐区。家长和学生们一起在河边共享了美好亲子时光。用餐后，学生们纷纷拿起水枪，自由结队，玩起了打水仗。他们追逐着，欢笑着。感谢Alyssa、Shirley和Angela三位班主任的精心准备，让学生们度过了一个如此开心的周末。

For the middle school students, the sun was shinning as the school bus picked them up. Driving to the lake, the students eagerly queued up to help carry all the snacks, blankets and tents to the picnic area. Parents came along as well, it was great to see everyone having a good time. After the lunchtime snacks had been eaten it was time for a ‘water fight’, with everyone having a small water pistol and the students dividing up into teams. Lots of fun was had as the students merrily chased each other. What an amazing time and a special thank you to all three middle school classmasters Alyssa Wang, Shirley Yu and Angela Hao.

亲近大自然是都市生活的闲暇，五六年级的学生在周末一起走进动物园！学生们在去之前就收到了任务单，学生们一边观赏大熊猫、狮子、猴子、大象等等动物，一边自主探索和收集相关知识。返校后，大家一起享用了披萨和薯片，学生们吃得不亦乐乎。感恩如此美好的一天，感谢班主任Andy和Rae的付出。

For the older students in the primary school, it was time to learn about nature, so off to the zoo we went. With the classmasters preparing a worksheet beforehand, all the students were kept busy as they saw panda’s, lions, monkeys, elephants and a whole range of animals! Thank you Headmaster Zhang for being so kind, after the zoo visit, it was back to the school for big pizza’s and chips. A great end to a great day and a big well done to the classmasters Andy He and Rae Feng.

勇敢、自信、团队合作，是我们学校着重培养的品质。而攀岩正是锻炼学生的好方式。三、四年级的学生们周末尝试了冒险活动-攀岩和露营！在10米多高，7米多高的攀岩墙前，学生们克服恐惧，向着高度挑战。返校后，学生们来到操场露营，家长和孩子们一起搭帐篷、一起做游戏、一起野餐。多么美好的时光呀！感谢班主任Merry和Sophia在活动背后的支持。

The younger students in the primary school wanted to do something adventurous and so Rock climbing and camping was decided on. Being brave, working together and developing confidence are key character traits of a Brilliant Light School student and rock climbing has all three! With a climbing wall of over 10meters and a bouldering wall over 7 meters across, the rock climbing venue hummed with the sound of happy children, overcoming their fears and striving for new heights. After that it was back to the school for CAMPING. Tents were set up, games were organised and out came the snacks. The two classmasters Sophia Liang and Merry Ma organised the events expertly and everyone, our adventurous students, their happy friends and contented parents all had a great time.

激情夏日，玩水最是凉爽。一年级学生和家长一起来到北国水世界，孩子们冲浪、坐滑梯，放肆玩水，清爽又愉悦。游乐场是孩子们的天堂。二年级学生来到了游乐场！旋转木马、过山车、碰碰车，感谢Amy和Cooper带队，为学生创造了和伙伴共同玩耍的好时光。

It's cool to play in water in summer. G2 students and their parents went to the Water world, the children were surfing, riding on the slide, playing with the water, refreshing and happy. The playground is the children's favorite place. G1 students went to the playground, played very happy!  Thanks to Amy and Cooper for leading the team and creating a good time for the students to play with their partners.
