父亲的角色在孩子的成长道路上有着不可或缺的作用，在现代家庭中，爸爸在孩子心目中的形象是繁忙、威严的，孩子与爸爸接触交流的机会也是比较少的。为此，圣比斯学校开展了“父爱亲子运动会”的主题活动，提供孩子和爸爸沟通交流的机会，增进父亲与孩子间的感情。

Fathers play integral roles in the process of their children’s growth. In modern families,  fathers are usually busy and dignified. Children have fewer communications with their fathers. So St Bees School held an activity called Father-child Sports Day to provide opportunities for children and their fathers to contact with each other and enhance their relationship.

    运动会共设置了4个关卡，每通过1关即可获得圣比斯钱币，通过3关即可领取亲子证书！你的战果如何呢？

There are 4 levels for the sports meeting. You can get 1 St Bees coin every time you pass a level.  If you want to get the parent-child certificate, you have to pass 3 levels! What were your results?

父子跳高总成绩达6.1米。

The total result of the father and son's high jump is 6.1 meters.

父子接力往返跑，过程中需要手持满杯水，抵达终点水留下2/3即闯关成功。

Father and son relay back and forth, carrying glasses full of water during the race, and reaching the finish line with more than two-thirds of the water left is considered successful. 

孩子骑在父亲背上完成5个俯卧撑，或孩子辅助父亲完成15个俯卧撑。

The father had to carry the child on his back to complete five push-ups, or the child had to help the father complete 15 push-ups. 

父亲手拿篮筐，孩子站在指定圈内投球，1-3 年级 6 球，5-8 年级 10 球。

The child stands in the designated circle and shoots to his father's basket, 6 shots for G1-3 and 10 shots for G5-8. 

英式板球体验

Cricket

板球是一项崇尚“体育精神”和“公平比赛”的运动，亨利八世称之为“国王的运动”，英国人赞其是“最绅士的比赛”。

Cricket is a game of "Sportsmanship" and "Fair Play". Henry VIII called it "The Sports of Kings" and the English called it "The Most Gentlemanly Sports".

板球分两队作赛，通常每队11人，一队做攻击，另一队做防守。攻方球员致力击球取分。守方一人负责把球投中击球手身后的三柱门将他赶出局，其他人负责把击球手打出的球接住，防止攻方得分。

Cricket is played by two teams, usually eleven players in each team, one attacking and the others defending. The attacking players are committed to hitting the ball to scoring. One of the defenders is responsible for hitting the batsman's wicket to get him out, while the others are responsible for catching the ball and preventing the batsman from scoring.

Supermarket for Energy

超市有水、纸巾、水果、牛奶、点心，学生可用自己绘制的圣比斯钱币到能量超市购买所需补给。

There is water, paper towels, fruit, milk and snacks in the supermarket.Students can use their drawing St Bees coins to buy the necessary items in the energy supermarket.

圣比斯学校将体育运动、创意美术、数学思维、场景英语相融合，意在让学生们在现实的生活场景中，在实际应用中融会贯通地学习，从而学以致用。

We put sports, concept artist , mathematical and situational English together,aiming to make students learn in real life , so that they can put what they have learned into practice.

这次运动会只是圣比斯PBL项目式研学活动的一环，我们会为学生们提供思维发展的情景，让学生们充满热情地、有创意地去体验、去参与学习和创作，从真实的情景中去了解和发展对外部的兴趣。从而培养学生们自主学习、独立思考、团队合作、友好沟通的能力。

This Sports Day is just one part of the PBL project-style study activities in St Bees , we will provide students with a situation where they can develop themselves, so that students can creative ,experience and participate in learning with full of enthusiasm. We take on an important goal of sparking interest in world exploration in children .Our activities can finally cultivate students' ability of independent learning, independent thinking, teamwork and friendly communication.
